What happened in 2020?

For most people, 2020 was synonymous with coronavirus. The global pandemic turned people’s everyday lives upside down. The internet, medical treatment, the importance of financial security, and how adults and children treat one another both at home and online were reappraised.

During the Covid-19 pandemic families spent more time together, but the changes in proximity and distance presented new challenges for everyone. Calls to helplines doubled and there was an increase in drinking and addiction amongst children and families. The failures of the healthcare system and legal regulations became apparent. We were not only faced with new difficulties and hereto nonexistent living situations; existing societal problems and inequalities were also amplified.
