Child Rights Report – 2021

No one to heal, no one to teach

What happened in 2021?

2021 was a year of heated ideological debates, promising progress, and entrenched structural problems. This year saw the introduction of the so-called ‘anti-paedophilia bill’ under the guise of child protection, and it was also when Hungary vetoed the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child. The public sphere buzzed with child rights debates, but the behind-the-scenes developments are equally noteworthy.

The Child Rights Report 2021 covers the greatest challenges and the most important novelties, as well as the failures.

The Child Rights Report of 2021 presents a comprehensive overview of the challenges accompanying child protection, the education system and child health.
