Hintalovon is a full member of Eurochild since 2019. Taking part in this high esteemed international network gives us the opportunity to exchange practice and research, build internal capacities and international cooperations, and influence policies at European levels.

We are eager to contribute to the advocacy goals of Eurochild and disseminate and promote their international campaigns. We are committed to engage in international projects that strives for a society that respects the rights of children.

Eurochild advocates for children’s rights and well-being to be at the heart of policymaking.
They have 176 members in 34 countries. 23 national networks of children’s rights organisations have been appointed as National Partner Networks.

Hintalovon actively participate in the work of Eurochild’s Child Participation Reference Group (CPRG). This professional network was created to support Eurochild in the implementation of child participation activities, and in reaching and maintaining its high standard. CPRG also supports the development of Eurochild’s new child participation strategy and works with the former and new Eurochild’s Children Council (ECC). It provides us with the opportunity to exchange expertise and learn from experiences from across Europe as well as to contribute to increasing participatory practices, in particular with vulnerable groups of children, and improving its quality across Europe. It also provides an opportunity to validate and further disseminate our work undertaken.

In 2018, our colleagues, including 5 of our Child Rights Ambassadors participated in Eurochild’s bi-annual conference in Opatija, Croatia, where children and adults worked as equals to urge politicians to pay closer attention to the opinion of children.

Every child has a right to be safe online.
Although the methodology of our research does not allow the results to be considered representative, it still reveals several significant issues. One of the most concerning of these is that children do not recognise that what happens to them is safeguarding violation, considering it to be just a part of sport. Nevertheless, for the majority of children, sport remains a defining and positive experience.
